There are twenty-four posts on my blog. People have made thirty-eight comments in all on my blog. Every week I send out about four to five comments a week and I have been doing that for two and a half weeks so I probably sent out about fourty-five comments in all. Blogging has improved my literacy skills because I have been able to understand the ways that people are speaking in their posts. To me my best post is my recycling post because it helps people understand why it is important to recycle. I think that I have improved the most is with my post lengths because when I started this blog my posts were three to four sentences and, now they are tho to three paragraphs. Some skills that I have learned are that when I read a post I have an understanding of what the person is writing the post about. It is good to write a post with a world wide audiance because then if you are writing you need to keep in mind what a person would think when you are reading it and what they would think of what is written cound be unlimited and you would like that outlook to be posotive.
I would give myself three threes and one two.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and most schools including mine has the day off. My family celebrates it in a different way than your’s may. We eat dinner tomorrow at about 2:00 P.M. , we have all of the normal things such as turkay, mashed potatos, gravey, carrots, and lots of desert. Then on Saturday I go and have another Thanksgiving feast with my dad and his part of the family.
Did the Pilgrims eat turkey on Thanksgiving? On thanksgiving the Pilgrims did not eat turkey instead they ate deer. They had corn on the cob, apples, pears, potatos and cranberries too.
Was Thanksgiving about religion? No because if it were the Pilgrims would not have invited the Indians to their Thanksgiving feast and the whole history behind the holiday would be altered and we would not kow the holiday like we do today.

In the 19th Century there was a specific process in which a person was to start a fram. This process took about four years to complete and become successful at farming and substaining a potential lifestyle that will allow a person to work and provide for their family. In the first year of this process you had to clear the land by cutting down trees for about five or six acres. Then in the second year you would have to cut and burn trees and then plant corn, while doing that you would have to also build a log house and cut down more trees for extended land. In year three you would have to build a barn and raise wheat. When you reach year four you would be planting crops such as hay, wheat, rye, and corn. By the end of this four year process a farmer is ready to live a happy and comfortable life.
Today farms are more complex but easier to ubtain and care for. Farmers don’t have to cut down the land and build their house. They have to buy the land and the home and then they might build a barn or they might buy one depending on the person. After that a farmer’s life is pretty much the same as a farmer in the 19th Century. They have to plant the corn, wheat, rye and others depending on what they plan to do with all of it.

As a teenager I play some sports with school and I play outside of school too. With school I take part on the track team as a sprinter but, outside of school I play lacrosse in the town next to mine. Lacrosse to me is great because it creates oppertunaties that I need to act quickly and on “On my toes.”
Well in my country there are many sports but, the main ones ,I would have to say, are baseball, football, basketball, and hockey.
When I am at home and am just fooling around I enjoy skateboarding with my friends or playin football in my backyard. another thing that I enjoy doing is snowboarding.

Dear President Barack Obama,
I would like to congradulate you on becoming president of these United States. I think you are the right pick for the job. Your ideals are perfect for the kind of nation we should be living in. I hope that in becoming the president, you will be able to keep us from foreign and domestic threat.
The main reason why I am writing to you is that I would like you to hear my ideas regarding the first issue that you should consider as presidant. I feel that war is the most important issue to discuss and plan to help. I think that this is most important because we should be pulling troops out of Iraq instead of sending them thereto die.
This “War” is a main focus and should be slowed to a hault or stopped in all. It is pointless to be waisting tax-payers money on this fake war. Iraq for say has had a stable government for quite some time; we are just waisting time keeping troops there and not in the United States. We need the Military here so that there can be no threat against us before we worry about stabilizing threats in other countries.
By staying in Iraq we are only making it harder for the United States to stay protected. If we leave we will be securing a firm allie. Also by leaving Iraq we will be letting the Iraqi people and their government try to hold up their own country in the economic state that they are in.
I fully suport whatever you decide to do for these issues of economis and firign. Thank you for reading this letter and good luck to the next four years for President Barack OBama.

At my school we try to recycle as much as possible, bu treally I don’t think kids or teachers even think that it is necessairy or that it even helps. The truth behind it is that recycling is a huge matter that helps the world go round. Without it there would be a lot more trash and it would couse problems for the planet and how it functions. I think that recycling is great with it we are making the earth a little more cleaner. To me this post is a big deal because it is spreading the knowledge of recycling and why it is important. People should start and never stop.

On November 11,2008 we will be out of school for the day. On that day we will be remembering the troops that have fallen, have been wounded or have survived World War 1. This day is a day that is dedicated to the end of “The War to End All Wars.”
